Forum auto emails are failing.
« on: February 19, 2011, 02:05:30 pm »

For some reason of late outgoing email notifications for every thing from new PM notifications to new user authorization is being caught by the server and flagged as spam so it doesn't send the e-mail. ::) :`)
I've created a support ticket for this as everything I've tried thus far has failed to fix the issue! (cB)
Apperantly this isn't the only forum experiancing this so we're not alone.
it doesn't appear to be a fourm software but the server hosting it! ::) ???
If your wondering why your not getting notifications this is why it isn't your settings!
Well not at the moment it isn't! ;D

Forum emailing
« Reply #1 on: March 07, 2014, 04:39:37 am »

Currently the forum isn't emailing any notifications.
This means no notifications of new posts or PMs.
It also is affecting new members activation as emails are normally sent for authorization.
This looks like it started shortly after updating the forum.
I plan to dig into this this weekend and hopefully find a fix. ::) :`)

Guest need to supply legit email addresses when registering.
Activation email that is returned will result in your registration being denied and your account removed.
Warning:
Users that have not posted and have the wrong email entered in their profiles also risk having their accounts deleted.

This is again not working.
However I believe it is security settings I now have in place.
New users trying to register are now manually sent emails which they must reply to.
Note: Please check your junk folder as some times I send a notification to multi users which then flags it as junk.

Notifications Of PMs and new posts your watching unfortunately are also affected. (cB)

Due to the new Canadian anti Spam law which took affect July 1st 2014
Also security patches applied by my web host which continue to affect this.
I've decided to keep email notifications disabled on this forum.
Spammers expecting to capitalize of forum email notifications will be disappointed.
Users are asked to check the forum regularly for new posts replies and Private messages as no notifications will be sent out for these to anyone
