At least I'm registered, and can now post - although I'm having some problems navigating the site. I'll figure it out - as my "Momma" used to say, I'm "smarter than I look!" Especially for an 85 year old codger trying to keep his brain working! (cB)

Well, I'll still be a newbie, but I'll try to be an active one.  I don't have expertise -- just trying to figure stuff out.  Thanks for all you do!  BTW, I hope you keep the threshold low to stay active. :D

I've graduated to a jr member `:) It's very likely there's some operator error going on, but I'm trying to find the Lifejacket download.  I found the post that says "Here's the link", but there is no live link.  I don't see how to actually get the file to download.

Thanks again for the help!  I want the tool  (cB)

Humm ??? clicking on the "here's the link" should have taken you to the download.
in any case here it is:
http://tuicemen.com/downloads/freestuff/AHP_lifejacket_setup.exe

The European to NA conversion tool is in the members only section under Free stuff.
It is an attachment not a link, the link is in the attachment

I'm finally caught up and removed old non contributing members.
The activation email now warns of account deletion if no posts are made with in the 30 daytime frame and points to this thread.

By the time I get ready to post something, somebody else has already done it, so I don't add to the clutter.

I have done the same thing.
On a few forums where the software didn't tell me a new post was being processed.
So I type a answer only to see I said basically the same thing as the new post.  ::)
So I delete mine. Not wanting to look like I copied another posts information.

Thanks for the access. I have used X10 products for over a decade. Always looking for how to keep the system going.

I've been an x10 user for over 10 years.  I have active home pro.  Like others, there's no registration servers.  I've lost my active phone feature.  I do have my license files so the rest of the plugins, like smart macro are usable.  I just want to learn what my options are to get some form of web/smartphone control back

I'm looking for the conversion tool to make the european version work in North America. The last reference I saw to it says it is in the Members Only area. But that can only be accessed after 5 posts. Which makes it really hard to provide feedback on it (which is the stated reason for having the 5-post requirement!) So what do I do in the meantime?

The conversion tool is no longer needed to get a registered North American Active Home Pro
AHP Lifejacket will register the North American  AHP.( the installer is available on the X10 website as well as this forum).

Also the European AHP is version 3.316 verses 3.318.
The 5 post requirement is in place to reduce spam since this with other restrictions has worked well it will remain.
5 posts isn't hard to do a intro or question is a good place to start.

Just got blessed with membership. Hope I can somehow contribute and post so I can peruse the inner sanctum.  Have been a guest a few times long ago when the AHP 3.318 special edition came out. What a lifesaver. I found and first used the Marmitek program when my PC died shortly after the X-10 bankruptcy.  Got used to some of the Marmitek oddities and then later heard of this Forum on your resurrection efforts with X-10. Appreciate what you have done to keep us PLCers going.
