Learning the ins and outs of posting in the forum
« on: September 30, 2013, 03:20:01 pm »

I had posted a thread with many tips on how to post to the old X10 forum.
I have implemented some security measures on this forum which limits newbies.
However once users are no longer classed as a newbie many options open up.
Since the X10 forum was a SMF forum just a older version of this one all the info I supplied in the thread should work here:
For those interested in improving your forum posting skills here is the link:

Why doesn't forum notify me of a post to a topic for which I have selected "notify"?

no auto emails work from the forum.
This is a server issue which I never addressed as it keeps out the spammers.

Hi.  Just getting started on forum but long time user of X10.  (back in the old BSR, Radio Shack, etc. times).  Use Home automation, ip cameras and some security spread over multiple house and unit codes (over 50).  Dorment for a while since everything works fine (surprise) but about to review setup and investigate where to go from here and using which devices. Thanks for supplying this service.

It's nice to see long time X10ers turning up to see what is new and to show others that X10 is still viable for HA.
Welcome aboard!
