basic windows 7 ?
« on: October 13, 2011, 07:42:01 am »

Does anyone know if there is a way with win 7 64 bit to have the computer re boot automatically at a set convienient time.  I run my ha pc 24/7 and it lags and slows down at times and needs to be restarted.  I tend to forget this alot until I have issues with the porgrams hanging up.  also is this possible in xp

It is possible to do this with both OS.
although I think the command is different for each.
I added the option to PCC in the remote control section.
However I haven't tested it with Windows 7
If you do a seach for windows commands you'll find the command for each.
The commands slip my mind right now but I think it is shutdown -r using CMD.
You can add this to the systems schedule or any program that allows timed actions.
