Updating Alex10
« on: January 28, 2017, 05:54:48 pm »

Starting with build 1.05.0.9 Alex10 will auto look for a update and display if a update is available.
You should always stop the bridge prior to updating to avoid corruption.
Usually there won't be a issue as not all updates will include a updated HA-Bridge like this one does.
Always close (Stop) the HA-Bridge prior to updating!
You don't need to uninstall anything prior.

In case Alex10 doesn't display the update notification or you just wish to reinstall a update there are a couple of options:
1: In the alex10 folder there will be a install.exe that will be the last downloaded update.
you can use it.
2:However if you suspect the download was corrupt you can access the update from the about screen this will download the latest update and attempt to install it.
if you don't wish to install it just cancel when it asks to install.

Reverting to a old Alex10 build is also now made possible as Alex10 makes a copy of the last installer used found in its folder, prior to adding the new one and names it the build number.
To revert open the Alex10 folder and locate the build you wish to revert to.
Note: It isn't recommended to revert back more then a couple of prior builds.
As if you experience issues with a prior build I will not address them unless present in the current build.
